"Falling in Love Over again" is the sixth track on Swedish singer Hawkeye-Eye Crimson's debut studio album, Desireless (1997). It was released every bit the album's third single in 1998 in Europe. Following the success of "Save Tonight", it was given a North American radio release in February 1999. The song reached number viii on the UK Singles Chart and peaked inside the elevation 50 in France, Republic of iceland, and Ireland. Although the song charted in Canada and its music video received rotation on VH1,[1] information technology did not announced on any United states Billboard charts. The song's music video was directed by Stéphane Sednaoui.[2]
Disquisitional reception [edit]
UK trade newspaper Music Week called Hawkeye-Center Red's vocals on the song "well-baked" and "uncomplicated".[three] Chuck Taylor of Billboard magazine described the song equally "dangerously like" to "Save Tonight" merely noted the casual differences that made the vocal unique, asking for a more "daring" follow-up hit.[4]
Chart functioning [edit]
Dissimilar Cherry's get-go two singles—"Save Tonight" and "When Mermaids Cry"—"Falling in Love Again" did not chart within the top 60 in his native Sweden.[5] On 4 July 1998, the song debuted on the netherlands' Single Tiptop 100 chart and peaked at number 70 two weeks later.[six] In September, it entered the Icelandic Singles Chart and rose to number 27 on 2 October.[7] Later that calendar month, information technology appeared on the French and German charts, attaining a summit of number 48 in the former land and number 81 in the latter.[viii] [9]
On 2 November 1998, the track was released in the U.k. and debuted at its peak of number eight on 8 November, condign Cherry's 2d and final top-ten hit on the Britain Singles Chart.[x] In neighbouring Ireland, information technology charted at number 23,[11] while on the Eurochart Hot 100, it debuted at number 21.[12] After "Save This evening" became a hit in the United States and Canada, "Falling in Dear Over again" was serviced to Northward American radio stations starting in Feb 1999. Despite charting on the Canadian RPM Adult Contemporary listing at number xc,[13] it did not appear on whatever US Billboard nautical chart.[xiv]
